RC and JP Carter simply don’t have time to slow down. RC and JP are their nom de plume handles, but privately they are Robert and Joan Carter, residents of Florida. The married pair wear many hats and share their lives in fascinating ways. They have been friends and lovers for fifty years. They have six children, fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. When most people are planning for retirement and settling back in their lounge chairs, these two are on the road in their travel trailer scouring the country side for spirits. Now I'm not talking gin or vodka-type spirits, I mean bonafide not-yet-crossed-over ghosts.They probe private homes, public places and businesses that believe they are experiencing the presence of someone who has not completely crossed over into the spirit world. Rob and Joan belong to the Tampa Bay Spirits, a paranormal investigating team. The couple started their spirit chasing adventure forty-five years ago and will be in Gettysburg PA this month investigating battlefields, homes and Sachs Bridge.

The busy pair joined the Underground Authors and penned A Chance Of A Ghost as part of the Magnolia Bluff Crime Chronicles. It's an addage in the publishing business to write what you know. Rob and Joan took that to heart and wrote a story about Mike and Maureen Donavan, paranormal investigators who visit the small Texas town of Magnolia Bluff at the request of anxious family members. The younger Donavans are concerned about the old mansion they purchased. Even though the young couple has refurbished the house, it creaks and groans from the ceiling and floors. Mike and Maureen arrive at the mansion and are surprised when before they even knock, the front door creaks open on it's own volition. Looks like the investigators have their first clue!
